Power Factor Improvement:

A power factor study can help save money on your utility bills, and pay for itself time and time again.

This study reviews electrical usage with particular emphasis on the makeup of the electrical power used.  Power factor, watts, vars, volt-amps, and peak demand are reviewed with respect to your utility rate schedule.  Recommendations are made for improving plant power factor, where applicable.

The addition of capacitors is most often used to improve the overall power factor and reduce monthly utility charges.  Since the adding capacitors can have negative interactions with system harmonics, this service is often bundled with a power quality study.
